MCINTYRE
Description: Inner City Character
The 1940 built home’s architecture can be best described as a Bungalow Queenslander style house, defined by its integrated verandah and main roof, chamfer board wall cladding and straight run stair handrail. The homeowners’ brief; was to restore the existing façade and streetscape, whilst creating an extension that would service the needs of a modern 21st century family. Great care was taken during the design stage to retain the period features of the property including the reinstatement of geometric verandah brackets, timber supported window hoods and dowel balustrading to the front verandah.
